How To Publish

Publications and Manuscripts Submissions

CAJET publishes online. Publications are done bi-annually. Submission of manuscripts (unpublished drafts of written material) should be directed to the editorial board. Once, a manuscript is submitted to the board, the manuscript will be forwarded to reviewers for evaluation. The acceptance or rejection of manuscripts is contingent upon reviewers’ recommendations and authors’ compliance with CAJET’s submission guidelines. All articles will be channeled to CAJET editor-in-chief at the following email: emmanou74@gmail.com

Authors who have submitted their manuscripts to CAJET will receive a response from its editorial board within seven days. This response is meant to notify authors that CAJET acknowledges receipt of their submission, not to indicate acceptance or rejection of the submission. Acceptance or rejection of a submission will depend on reviewers’ recommendation of the article. Once review is completed, authors will be notified the final decision of CAJET regarding their article.

Reviews comments may fall in one of the four following categories:

  • (1) publish article unaltered
  • (2) minor revision needed
  • (3) major revision needed
  • (4) article rejected.

Note: Authors who wish to publish with CAJET should submit complete articles to the editorial board of Journal, not just abstracts.

Policies for Retraction of Manuscript(s) and Refund of Publication Fee

Authors who have submitted a paper in CAJET may retract (withdraw) their submissions at various stages under the following conditions:

    1. After submission of a manuscript at CAJET, its acknowledgement by the editor-in-chief, and the issue of an informal acceptance letter.

In general, at this point, authors have paid no publication fee yet. Authors who wish to retract their article in this case should indicate to CAJET editor-in-chief their intentions to do so, asking him/her, through an email, to disregard their publication and expunge it from the Journal’s record. CAJET charges no fee for the withdrawal of a manuscript if that is done at this point.

    2. After a publication fee has been paid, a publication/manuscript has been formally accepted, and a formal acceptance letter has been issued to the author.

In this case, to retract their manuscripts, authors should write an email to CAJET’s editor-in-chief requesting that he/she disregards the publication of the manuscript and issues a Letter of Approval of Manuscript Retraction. CAJET will keep this letter as proof that an author has withdrawn his/her paper. Authors should keep in mind, however, that CAJET will not refund the publication fee authors paid in. Also, CAJET, at this point, will charge no fee for the withdrawal of the manuscript.

    3. Once an article has been published online

After the online publication of an article, authors may still reach out to CAJET’s editor-in-chief through email to request that the editor retracts the published article and issues a Letter of Approval for the Retraction of the Published Article. CAJET will keep the letter as proof that, upon the request of its author (s), a published article was withdrawn from its website. Authors should note that CAJET will not refund the publication fee for the article. Yet, before taking down the article from the website, authors will pay CAJET a withdrawal fee of 50000 XAF for the inconvenience of disorganizing the journal issue.
